Law School History Archives

William S. Richardson School of Law Historical Archives Finding Aid

The Law School History Archive preserves and makes available documents and ephemera relating to the history of the formation of the Law School as well as documents regarding the School’s activities throughout the years. In this collection you will find correspondences and memorandums that discuss the school’s formation; class entering photo guides and catalogs for every year beginning with the first entering year of 1973; various years of student directories, handbooks, and yearbooks; documents regarding the Law School’s milestone celebrations; brochures, pamphlets, and papers regarding students, faculty, and events of the Law School; and several years of the Law School’s reports. In 2023, the Law School History Digital Archive (LSHDA) project began to acquire and preserve only the digital versions of Law School History materials, and discard the physical copies, to address physical preservation space limitations. Identifiers with the LSHDA prefix represent the archival materials that are only kept in our LSHDA digital file repository location, and not in our physical storage location.
