Policy to Submit Faculty Publications to the Faculty Archive

If WSRSL faculty have physical print books or off-print journal articles they authored and want to be archived in the Law Library's Faculty Archive collection, they can send them to the Acquisition Librarian for review.

For law faculty digital scholarship, the Law Library works with ScholarSpace, the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa institutional repository that hosts the WSRSL Faculty Archives digital collections.  Read the ScholarSpace Content and Collection Guidelines here.

The Law Library currently has a license to download digital publications from HeinOnline, and to upload them to the Faculty Archives digital collection on ScholarSpace.

  • Interested faculty should contact the Electronic Services Librarian to sign a release form that gives your permission to the Law Library to upload your HeinOnline articles to ScholarSpace.
  • If your article is on HeinOnline, it can be emailed it to the Archives Manager for uploading into ScholarSpace.
  • If a faculty memberʻs article was published on a non-HeinOnline publisher or repository, the faculty member must clear copyright permissions for their article so it can be made openly accessible through our ScholarSpace repository.
  • If your article was published through a non-HeinOnline, Open Access publisher, faculty can confirm its open accessibility through the Sherpa Romeo website. Once open accessibility is confirmed, the pdf article can be emailed to the Archives Manager for upload into ScholarSpace.
